To all our Walkers and Volunteers: Due to the severe storm that affected the Ottawa area today, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s Walk Together event. Ottawa Police have advised residents to stay home to ensure their safety; many areas of the city are currently affected by downed trees, power lines, and other debris and certain homes and public areas have sustained significant damage. The state of some parts of the city and key parts of our route is still unknown, and we cannot guarantee the safety of our walkers in time to run a successful and safe event tomorrow morning.

We apologize for being unable to run Walk Together, and want you to know what an impact your fundraising efforts have made for this community. We hope you and your families have been able to stay safe tonight through the storm.

Please know we will find another way to celebrate your fundraising efforts and recognize everything you have put into this event. We will let you know as soon as possible.

We are so grateful for support and dedication to local cancer care. You are true cancer champions.
