The Lemonade Standemonium is one of our most important events of the year, raising thousands of dollars in support of local families who are facing cancer.
Each year, our community’s support is critical to ensuring the success of the Cardel Homes Lemonade Standemonium, so that local families facing cancer will continue to have access to the research, clinical trials and Cancer Coaching they need and deserve.
Cancer remains a significant health challenge in our community and across the world, and many cancer patients cannot wait until the world recovers from this pandemic to have access to lifesaving treatment options, innovative research and Cancer Coaching.
Our entire community is facing challenging times, but it has been especially difficult for those facing cancer. The stress and uncertainty means more and more people are now relying on their Cancer Coach for help.
Local Research and Clinical Trials (New Treatments):
Our local labs are still working hard to develop new cancer treatments, and local patients are still participating in cancer clinical trials. We do not want to have to put granting on hold when it could give so much hope in such a time of such uncertainty.
Children Who are Facing Cancer and their Families:
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Support Programs is a local, not-for-profit volunteer organization that provides programs and services to young cancer patients and their families receiving treatment in the National Capital Region. Membership in Candlelighters is through hospital referral, and they can help with financial support, family support, and educational support to make sure all children and teens diagnosed are able to get the support they need.
