The Greer-Bedard Stand
Thank you for visiting our virtual lemonade stand! All donations will go directly to Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and Candlelighters. Candlelighters has been a huge support to William, his parents and siblings.
You can support local families facing cancer by purchasing a virtual glass of lemonade on our page. All you need to do is click "Donate Now" on the top right of my page. Big or small glass, everything is appreciated.
Don't forget to come visit our real stand on June 1! We will be located at 11 Bellman Drive in Nepean. William, Nelson, Aidan, Miller, Gwendolyn and Rosie will be happy to serve you! We will be open from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Watch for the bright yellow signs. (There might be more than lemonade, you never know!)
Our Story: It seems every family is in some way affected by cancer and we are definitely no exception. Almost 12 year old William was diagnosed with a brain tumor just after his 5th birthday. William has endured numerous operations and procedures, including years of chemotherapy, and is left with lasting effects from the hydrocelphalus caused by the tumor. Now William is on a healing journey we hope. Our family team wants to help him to give back to the community that has supported him and his family.
We are doing this for our friends who are currently battling cancer, Sue Breen and Meghan Fish-Bellefleur and for those who have lost the fight: Donald George Anger (Poppa), Richard Greer (Grampa Ricco), Agnes Anger (Nanny), Pierrette Powell (Gramma), Gerald MacDonald (Uncle Gerald), Kenneth Pritchard (Great Grandpa), Sue Muir (Great Aunt to Nelson and Miller), Greg Danku (Uncle Greg).
We really appreciate your support and know that those who have gone to the other side will be smiling down on us on June 1.
